2008 PIAA Football State Championship
Stars of the Show
Andre Campbell, QB of Steel High
129 yards passing, 1 td pass, 3 td runs
Cambell's 59 yard bomb to Jordan Smith in the second quarter put the Rollers up for the first time in the game. His subsequent touchdown runs kept them there.

Tyler Wehner, QB of Thomas Jefferson
156 yards passing, 3 pass td's, 2 rush td's
Wehner showed off his cannon of an arm and added two rushing touchdowns to boot, as he led Jefferson to the team's second straight AAA title. He missed last year's title win, so this win was especially sweet for him.

Derrick Burns, RB of Wilmington
2 rushing td's including game winner
Burns didn't have the biggest of games on the ground, but he proved to be enough of a threat to keep West Catholic's offense at bay, plus he scored what turned out to be the game winning touchdown.

Shane Wagner, QB of Wilmington
2 td run's, game saving 4th down conversion
The Heroics at Hershey. It was 4th and 16 in overtime and nothing was open. Wagner ran left, swerved through defenders to run all the way over to the right side of the field, and scrambled into the endzone. You have to see it to believe it. Actually, if you see it, you probably won't believe it. For that play, combined with his steady game at QB for the 'Hounds, this one was a no-brainer.
Anthony Gonzales, QB of Liberty
205 rushing yards, 3 rush td's, 1 pass td, Game winning interception made
Gonzales did everything in his power to help Liberty win the game, including catching an interception in overtime to end it. Bethel Park could not find an answer for #8, even when they absolutely knew he was going to be the one running. No questions asked, he was the star of this extremely entertaining show.
