We saw him once before, where he displayed his skills in the mud against St. Joe's Prep at home. Now we got a chance to see him display those skills on a field that wasn't tearing up all over the place. And it was quite the site to see. At the tailback position, he showed his speed and ability to find and hit holes quickly. His mad dash for a 42 yard touchdown late in the first quarter got the ball rolling for the North Penn offense, and he contributed two more times to keep that roll going (with one touchdown coming through the air). North Penn continues their pursuit of a state title, and Akins will play a huge part of the Knights' chances. For his efforts in last Friday's District One Championship victory over Neshaminy, Ronnie Akins earns Varsity 365 Star of the Show honors for the second time this season.
