The Biggest Games. The Best Rivalries. Period.
![]() What is Varsity 365? Varsity 365 is a movement. A
revolution. It's a celebration of all the best in high school
athletics in the Greater Philadelphia Area and beyond. An
ongoing festival where the players, fans, bands, cheerleaders and more
from the high school sports world get to shine.
Our Mission Statement: To celebrate the world of high school athletics using innovation, recognition, and integrity. How Do We Achieve This? Innovation: Showcase of the Week: Every week, we select a top athletic event in the Greater Philadelphia Area and put the spotlight on it. We do this by providing video highlights, photos, articles, and selecting a Star of the Show (player of the game) from the event. In the future, we plan on expanding this and making the spotlight even bigger, but we'll wait before we give up the goods. Bonus Coverage: During the course of the week, we provide bonus coverage of other games that deserve spotlight. The bonus coverage usually only includes either photos and Star of the Show or an article and Star of the Show V365 Wire: Keeps you up to date with not only new things happening with Varsity 365, but also big stories from the teams we covered We look to add more features, shows, and other additions as we grow. Recognition: Perhaps our biggest attribute, Varsity 365 strives to recognize those teams and athletes who give the best performances. Star of the Show: At every showcase (and most bonus coverage) we select a Star of the Show, which is the player who has the best performance of the event. Varsity 365 Showstoppers: Athletes who shine outside of our coverage may get a request for an interview and a photo session, as they may be a Showstopper! We are always on the lookout for what athletes are doing great things and this allows us to put them in the forefront even if we are not covering their team. Varsity 365 Performance of the Year: Starting this year and continuing annually, we will be awarding a plaque to the player who is selected as having the best performance in a game that was covered by Varsity 365. V365 StarWatch: StarWatch, a new feature on the main page, is an ongoing wire including big accomplishments of varsity teams and athletes in the Greater Philadelphia Area. While Varsity 365 staff scour the newspapers, internet, and television outlets to find these achievements, web viewers are strongly encouraged to submit entries that we may have missed. Integrity: Positive Media Varsity 365 pledges to provide a more positive media slant to the high school athletic universe, focusing on the triumphs of athletes, coaches, and teams (hence our motto: Play Hard. Celebrate.). We believe that the high school sports world is not one that should be corrupt with scandal and negative press. A story about a fight that breaks out at a high school game will not be covered here and we fully recommend our followers to get that type of information from other media outlets. The best performers, however? You bet they'll be covered right here on Varsity 365. This is not to say, however, that we won't throw our opinions out there. It's a part of journalism. But all of the opinions will be in the spirit of conversation and debate, not in the habit of trying to unfairly tear down a team or player. Commitment to Academics In the near future, Varsity 365 will become a resource for student athletes to gather information that will help them in their studies and post-secondary education. This is a part of our Athlete to Academic Initiative that we will be rolling out very soon. And just whooooo is that Marcus Wright guy?? You may have seen him interviewing a coach or player. Or taking pictures of and with a mascot. Or giving a fan a chest bump. Marcus Wright has done sports broadcasting and journalism in some form for the last 8 years. A graduate of Rutgers University, he spearheads the Varsity 365 movement and experience and welcomes all of you to the ride. So if you see him at your game or a game you attend, go ahead and give him a high-five. He loves those. This is Marcus back when Varsity 365 was Digitex-U Sports. He's the guy, not the Hawk!
