In what turned out to be perhaps the Game of the Year, Downingtown East scored with no time remaining to make it a 48-47 game in favor of Penncrest. Instead of going for the tie, the Cougars went for 2, and converted thanks to a gutsy run by running back Drew Harris. Needless to say, pandemonium ensued with this concluding play, and the Cougars advanced to play Ridley in the D1 Semifinal.
