Varsity 365 2008 Football Power Team of the Year
North Penn Knights (14-1)

It was a season that fell a bit short of the greatness many predicted, but it was a great season nonetheless. They started number 1 in our Power 5 poll, and when it concluded (Nov. 28th) they were still number 1. They were the buzz of this side of the state all year. With the talented Ronnie Akins leading the way at receiver and tailback, North Penn's offensive onslaught outscored opponents 528 - 185. They remained flawless on the year until a 21-14 loss to Liberty in the State Semifinals brought things to an abrupt end. Nonetheless, the Knights showed us what they were made of all year, and earned Varsity 365 2008 Football Power Team of the Year honors.
