February Star of the Month:
Rakeem Brookins, Roman Catholic
January Star of the Month:
DeQuann Walker, Malvern Prep
Week 3 Star of the Show:
Devante Chance, JR Guard, Philadelphia E&T
*Chance turned it on big time in the second half and was a major reason why Phila. E&T was able to pull out the victory.
Candidates:
1/21 Philadelphia E&T vs. Carver E&S
E&T:
Devante Chance
*23 hard earned points, all in the 2nd half. We like how he turned up the intensity when his team really needed it
Hakeem Baxter
*11 points, and was not afraid to take it inside
Carrington Ward
*Pitched in 12 points with some key jumpers thrown in there
E&S
Mark Houston
*Does not try to be flashy, so his 16 points could be considered "quiet." But they were definitely big time points that helped make this one go down to the wire.
Christopher Aldridge
*Scored 15 points and showed a couple of nifty interior moves throughout the game
Dijon Eggleton
*Scored 12 points and we really loved his intensity
Week 2 Star of the Show:
Tony Chennault, SR Guard, NG
*We felt like he quietly dominated. And if this game was a quiet domination, we can only imagine what he has in store for the rest of his senior season.
Candidates:
(1/13) Archbishop Carroll vs. Neumann-Goretti
AC:
Juan'Ya Green
*This kid is a machine. 22 points and was fearless the entire game
Ben Mingledough

NG:
Tony Chennault
23 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals. The Varsity 365 cover boy did not disappoint.

Danny Stewart
*21 points and owned the interior
Week 1 Star of the Show:
DeQuann Walker, JR WG, Malvern Prep
*This was close between Walker and AJ Jones from Haverford, but Walker gets the edge with the way he really turned things on late in the game and overtime to help lead his team to a hard-fought victory.
Candidates:
(1/9) Penn Charter vs. Haverford
PC:
Tom Noonan
With 18 points and a sweet looking shot, there was one point we thought he couldn't miss!
Hav:
AJ Jones
*11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, 6 assists... these are the kind of games we love. And for the icing on top, he hit the game winning shot as time was expiring. Great effort from Jones.
Andrew Acker
*8 points and 11 rebounds for a nice effort
(1/9) Malvern Prep vs. Germantown Academy
MP:
DeQuann Walker
25 points along with 9 rebounds. Made a game saving block near the end of regulation, and sealed the deal in overtime with 7 points. We'd say that's a pretty good game!
Lamon Church:
Pitched in with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for a great, balanced game. On top of that, he hit the shot that forced overtime.
Tracy Peal:
13 points and 10 rebounds to create a nice inside presence for MP
GA:
Cameron Ayers
*27 points, and it's nice to continue seeing him grow as a player each year

(1/9) Episcopal vs. Chestnut Hill Academy
CHA:
Pat Connaghan
*17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals - what a great game for the senior

*He did not score, but we loved his 4 assists in the game. Sometimes people can forget how important setting up your teammates is.
