Breathless. That's what John McCarthy's performance on 10/20/09 against Father Judge left us. Saving shots left and right, the senior goalie assured that the possible final battle between the two teams went in North Catholic's favor. Whether he had to dive to make a save, slide to stop a ball, jump to deflect a shot, or run out in a player's face to cut off their path, McCarthy did everything in his power to keep Judge scoreless and give his team a chance to win.

For that incredible performance, John McCarthy of North Catholic earns Varsity 365 Star of the Month honors for October.
